She's a gem, that Maggie Duval. Brilliant as a star yet hardworking and reliable -- a desirable combination.

I have worked for three years with Maggie as both a client -- Travel Berkeley Springs, a local convention and visitors bureau; and as a colleague -- Springs Consortium producing informational material for a National Scenic Byway. Even though geography now makes our work life virtual, she remains perfect in each role.

Thanks to Maggie's creative vision, sensitivity to both the user and the owner's need for easy information, and her willingness to make things work -- now, Travel Berkeley Springs has a prize-winning Website. In September 2000, we were named West Virginia's best Website at the Governor's Conference for Tourism. Even more importantly, business is booming in great part thanks to the Website as our major marketing tool for getting folks to Berkeley Springs. Maggie has made it informative, alluring and responsive.

Not only did Maggie serve the organization well, but she extended her efforts to many of its members guaranteeing that all the pieces enhanced the whole. She keeps the good of the organization -- and by extension, Berkeley Springs -- always in her mind, sniffing out good placements, opportunities for free listing of information, and innovative marketing approaches. Under her massaging, our productive Web visits increased tenfold in less than three years. And this traffic translated directly into bodies in beds, at dining and massage tables and in shops. Best of all, we could afford the service.

As a colleague, she is everything any goal-oriented person or group could want. She has great ideas, listens and understands what is needed, learns the topic, knows all the cutting edge technology, is willing to do whatever needs done and answers her e-mail and phone immediately. Though she is a star, she is NOT a diva. Maggie can be depended upon to always get the job done well and on time.

Although we in Berkeley Springs have unanimously elected to continue our relationship with Maggie virtually, we are all universally grateful that for a time we had her physically present here with us. During that time Maggie has proved herself an indispensable aid in furthering my career as a writer and therapist.
